The Access Center for Independent Living will be hosting the 2024 Dayton Youth Leadership Forum (YLF) July 22nd-26th at Dayton Public Library (Downtown).

YLF is a week long youth leadership program for high school students with disabilities. At Dayton YLF, youth will have the opportunity to connect with peers while learning about the importance of leadership and self-advocacy. Topics covered at YLF this year include the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and its importance, the principles of leadership, resources and assistive technology available for those with disabilities, and much more.

High school students must have a vocational rehabilitation counselor through Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) to qualify and apply for YLF Interested in applying for YLF? Contact Tonya Banther, YLF Site Coordinator at ACIL, at 937-341-5202 Ext 108 or [email protected].

  1. Hi,
I’m and parent and guardian of my son who has developmental disabilities. Do you have a document that shows what the Youth Leadership Forum (YLF) looked like last year… or this coming session? Thank You.

    1. We are having informational Zoom meeting for parents on May 6th from 6:30 to 7:30 where we will hopefully be able to answer your questions. I will email you the link tomorrow.
