The committee will discuss various types of fraud. Kathryn Metz, Senior Outreach & Education Specialist at the Office of the Ohio Consumers’ Counsel is organizing a discussion panel with representatives from relevant agencies. Kathryn will give an overview of utility scams and fraud. Someone from Senior Medicare Patrol will be presenting on Medicare fraud, someone from USPS is planning to present on mail fraud, and there is a possibility that a Social Security Administration (SSA) representative will be discussing SSA fraud.
The Breaking Silences Advocacy Committee meets virtually via Zoom on the second Tuesday of each month from 3:00pm to 4:30pm and is open to anyone interested in joining the advocacy efforts of the committee. Email [email protected] for more information or to be added to the email distribution list.
