Rev Your Engines for a Cause: Join the Fight for Independence on Two Wheels!
The Fraternal Order of Eagles (F.O.E.) Dabel Post Eagle Riders are set to host an exhilarating motorcycle ride to help ACIL fulfill our mission and empower people with disabilities to achieve independence.
The event, held on Saturday, May 9th, at 1221 Wayne Avenue in Dayton, features a registration fee of $20 per person or $25 per couple. While the event begins at 10am, kick stands will go up at noon with the bikes hitting the road. Motorcyclists, thrill-seekers, and community members alike are invited to join in the fun-filled day that not only promotes the joy of riding but also serves to ensure people with disabilities feel included in and empowered by our local community.
The Eagle Riders is an internal unit of the Fraternal Order of Eagles consisting of motorcycle enthusiasts dedicated to philanthropy and community service. The Dabel Post 3031 chapter, located in Dayton, Ohio, hosts various events including charity poker runs, memorial rides, and benefit dinners to support local causes, per www.foe.com
As part of the day’s festivities, participants can look forward to a poker run—a beloved tradition among bikers that combines the thrill of riding with the strategy of card play. Riders will have the chance to win cash prizes for the best and worst poker hands, alongside engaging in 50/50 raffles that promise to add an extra layer of excitement to the event. Delicious food will be available for purchase, ensuring that everyone can fuel up for the ride ahead.
Established to ensure that people with disabilities have full and complete access to community of our choice, The Access Center focuses on creating opportunities that enable our consumers to live full, happy, independent lives.
“We’re incredibly grateful for the support of the Eagle Riders,” said Jeremy Caffee, Executive Director of ACIL. “Events like this not only raise vital funds but also create a spirit of inclusion and allyship among community partners and those we serve.”
At a time when community support is more important than ever, this bike ride offers an opportunity for everyone to engage, have fun, and unite for a worthy cause. Whether you’re a motorcyclist, a supporter of individuals with disabilities, or simply looking for a thrilling way to spend the day, everyone is welcome.
Mark your calendars for May 9, 2026, and join the Fraternal Order of Eagles Dabel Post Eagle Riders for a ride that promises fun, friendship, and a chance to make a difference. Let’s rev up our engines, hit the road, and ride for a cause that can change lives. Together, we can pave the way for a more inclusive community where everyone has the opportunity to be independent and thrive.
