Cromer Park will soon be more inclusive and welcoming to all thanks to a renovation focused on enhancing the accessibility and features of the park.
The significant improvements to Cromer Park, located at 10200 Western Avenue, in Miami Township, are being funded by the Community Foundation of Miami Township and a Montgomery County Community Development Block Grant, per an article shared by WHIO News.
The renovation aims to ensure that Cromer Park and its features meet accessibility standards set by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and can be enjoyed by all visitors. The following upgrades are being made to the park to maximize inclusivity.
Key Accessibility Upgrades
- ADA Walkway: A brand-new, ADA-compliant walkway will be installed to ensure smooth, accessible navigation throughout the park grounds.
- Inclusive Play Set: A new playground set featuring accessible swings and a slide will expand options for children of all abilities.
- Park Features: New accessible seating and dining facilities will be added, including benches, picnic tables, and a picnic shelter.
New grills and a new multi-use basketball court are also being added to the park to expand recreational opportunities for visitors.
Visitors should expect to be able to enjoy a fully accessible Cromer Park by Spring 2027.
